After “No Shave November” comes “No Shape December”. Yes, with all the Christmas parties, reunions, get-togethers, Christmas dinners and a whole lot more, you will probably feel bloated and just so heavy even before January comes. How can you possibly get abs and maintain those if you already have a six-pack when you’re in the middle of all these celebrations? Well, it’s all about determination and motivation and a whole lot of discipline. You can eat all you like but you must also exercise as much as you can to lose the weight you gain and turn all those food intake into muscles instead.

If you’re looking for kinds of exercises that will help you get back in shape or maintain your fit body through the holiday season, here are some exercises that you may want to consider. With regular workout, you can be almost sure that you will sweat all the fats, sugar and cholesterol out!

1. Run, Walk, Swim and Bike!

Discover the great outdoors! The world is such a beautiful place and you just can’t miss the opportunity you have to get in shape while having a beautiful view of your town or city. If you live in an area where it’s cold during this season, then you can eliminate the swimming part and run, walk or bike instead. These are fun ways to get fit and if you have a running buddy, that would be better too!

2. Indoor Exercises

Home Exercise Bike ReviewsThere are so many exercises you can do at home. Grab a yoga instructional DVD or check on aerobic exercises you can find on YouTube. Yes, aerobics are so old school but these work. You can do this in the comfort of your home and the privacy of your room.
An upright exercise bike is a great bike for working out at home, you can simply bike the hours away as you watch your favorite TV series or a movie. You won’t notice the time and you’ll just see a puddle of sweat building up which is just oh, so satisfying!

3. Dance

Dancing is another fun thing to do. Again, you can go online. Find some dance videos on YouTube and just dance. If you keep on doing this regularly, not only will you lose weight, you will also learn the moves that will make you a hit on the dance floor.

4. Enroll in a Fitness Facility

If there’s a gym in town, you better enroll now. The best thing about going to the gym is that you have a fitness instructor teaching you and motivating you to exercise. You’ll get that extra push you need when you feel like another five minutes on the treadmill will kill you.

5. Engage in Sports

Basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis—the list is endless! Sports will bring out your competitive side so you won’t stop in the middle of a game unless you win, of course! This is the best way to lose weight because it is enjoyable and you can even have friends to come play with you.

How to Maintain a Beautiful Home Exterior

by David on

Since you’re mostly indoors, you probably never take for granted the need for cleaning and maintenance of your home. If you don’t have a job or you have a home office you, have more or better opportunities to clean around the house. You sweep and mop the floor, wipe countertops and furniture and change the sheets as often as you need to. However, you must remember that as much as you need to do this indoors, your home’s exteriors need some pampering too. After all, your house might just be your biggest investment and without proper maintenance, it may deteriorate sooner than expected.

Landscape Your Garden

If you are not willing to spend on getting professional landscaping services, this is something that you can absolutely do on your own. With a little bit of research and a whole lot of inspiration and determination, you will be able to come up with a beautiful landscape design that would impress anyone who would pass by your home. Trim down plants and bushes, mow your lawn, create a walkway with pebbles and so on. You can do these with your own two hands—yes, it may take a lot of time and effort but once you’re done, you will be proud of the work you did all on your own. Gardening could be very relaxing as well so you will absolutely have a great time doing this.

Keep Surroundings Clean

Pressure Washer ReviewsYour garden hose just won’t work. A pressure washer would be a great home investment because you can use it in more ways than one. Aside from cleaning your car, Wash Wisely explains how you can use a pressure washer to effectively get rid of dirt and debris from your driveway and even clean the walls of your home’s exteriors. A pressure washer allows you to effortlessly do these without having to spend too much time as well.

Schedule Regular Professional Maintenance

Have a handyman take a look at your roof, seal holes and cracks on your home’s walls and your driveway, check on gutters and so on. While you can be confident that you can do some things on your own such as cleaning and gardening, there are other things that need to be done by a professional. You might get into an accident if you attempt to fix the roof yourself or you might cause more damage than good to the pavement of your driveway if you try to repair cracks on your own.

Get Rid of Clutter

When you don’t have a shed or storage area and your garage is already full of other things that you own that have accumulated through the years, you tend to store things outside of your home such as loose bricks, leftover wood, empty sacks and a lot more. Throw what needs to be thrown and recycle what you can. If anything is out of place, keep it somewhere that’s not visible to those who pass by your home.

You deserve to live in a beautiful home. Once you already own one, do not take it for granted. Take care of it and provide your home the proper maintenance it needs.
